
Tater Tot Casserole
Preheat oven to 375°.
Chop:
- 1 onion
- 1 green pepper
Brown with onion and green pepper:
- 1 lb ground beef or sausage
While the meat cooks, make a white sauce with:
- 2 Tbs butter
- 2 Tbs flour
- 1 tsp bouillon
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk and/or water
Drain excess fat from the meat and add:
- 1-2 cups corn
Add the sauce to the meat and mix well.
Spread the meat mixture evenly in a 9x13 dish.
Sprinkle over the meat:
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 (32 oz) bag tater tots
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the tater tots are done.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle over the top:
- 1 cup (additilonal) shredded cheese
Return to the oven for another few minutes to melt the cheese. Let sit for 5-10 minutes.

Optional substitutions/additions: beans, diced tomatoes, green onion, other vegetables, etc.
