Meatballs
Grate:
- 1/4 cup onion
Combine:
- 2/3 cup dry bread crumbs or stuffing mix
- 1 cup milk
Add grated onion to milk mixture along with:
- 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Preheat the oven to 375°, line cookie sheets with foil. Place trivets over foil.
Mix well, form into balls, and place at least an inch apart on the trivets. If they are not thick enough, mix in some more bread crumbs.
(Optional) Brush with with sauce made from mixing:
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 Tbs brown sugar
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Bake until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 160° - this could take 20-45 minutes, depending on the size of the meatballs.
