Chili

Chop:

   - 1 onion

   - 1 green pepper


Cook onion and green pepper together with:

   - 1-2 lb ground beef


When beef is browned and onion is translucent, drain fat.


Add:

   - 2 Tbs minced garlic

   - 2 tsp cumin

   - 1 tsp chili powder

   - 1 tsp salt

   - 1/2 tsp garlic powder

   - 1/2 tsp onion powder


Cook for one minute and then add:

   - 4 cups diced tomato (30 oz, if canned)

   - 3-6 cups beans (30-60 oz, if canned)

   - 1 1/2 cups refried beans (15 oz, if canned)


Add water if desired. Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 10-15 minutes. Season to taste.

Notes

Add or omit most anything.

If adding corn, add towards the end of the simmer.

Make early and keep warm on the stove or in a crock pot.
