Applesauce

Peel, core, and chop:

   - 4 lbs apples (Gala, Fuji, Granny Smith, etc.)


Place chopped apples in a sauce pan and add:

    - 1/2 cup water

   - pinch salt


Cover and cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, until apples are soft and mushy. Stir occasionally.


Season with:

   - 1/4 cup sugar

   - 1 Tbs lemon juice

   - 1 tsp cinnamon


Stir to combine and adjust seasoning, as needed.


Mash with a potato masher or immersion blender.


Cool and refrigerate.

Notes

Can be frozen.
