Apple Crisp (slow cooker)

Peel, core, and chop:

   - 6-10 apples


Put the apples into the slow cooker and mix in:

   - 1/3 cup white sugar

   - 1 Tbs cornstarch

   - 1/2 tsp ginger

   - 1/2 tsp cinnamon

   - 1 Tbs lemon juice


In a separate bowl, mix together:

   - 1 cup flour

   - 1 cup oatmeal

   - 1/2 cup brown sugar

   - 1/2 cup white sugar

   - 1/2 tsp cinnamon

   - 1/4 tsp nutmeg

   - pinch salt


Once the dry ingredients are mixed, use a pastry blender to cut in:

   - 1/2 cup butter, cold and cut into pieces


Sprinkle the oatmeal/butter mixture onto the apple mixture. Cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours. Keep the lid partially open for 1 hour after cooking so the topping can harden.
